Three Hours That Change How Your Campus Responds to a Threat
Active threat response training reduces casualties when it teaches staff to make decisions in the first seconds of an incident, not to memorize a policy binder. This in-person session, led by nationally recognized expert Jesus Villahermosa of Crisis Reality Training, gives campus leaders an evidence-based framework for lockdown, evacuation, and response that works under the stress of a real event.
The training is built for anyone responsible for the physical safety of a campus or facility: facilities and operations directors, school resource officers, district administrators, corporate and healthcare security leaders, houses of worship, retail and transportation operators, and the first responders who support them. The content is educational and protocol-focused. It is not a product pitch.
Most security programs are reactive. Cameras record the incident, and the footage is reviewed after the harm is done. Proactive safety closes that gap by pairing trained people with technology that surfaces a threat within seconds of it appearing. Attendees will hear directly from Concordia University leadership on how the campus put that model into practice, and will see how AI-powered detection and rapid alerting compress the time between a threat emerging and a coordinated response.
Seating is limited to 100 attendees. Registration is free.
What This Session Covers
Active Threat Response Frameworks
Run-Hide-Fight, ALICE, and Avoid-Deny-Defend. When each applies, where they fail, and how to train a mixed staff to act without hesitation.
Lockdown Planning for Campuses
Evidence-based lockdown and evacuation protocols for K-12, higher education, healthcare, and corporate campuses, including the decisions that happen before first responders arrive.
Alyssa's Law and Rapid Alerting
What silent panic alert legislation requires, how wearable rapid alert technology fits into a response plan, and how to evaluate systems against real incident timelines.
Customer Perspective: Concordia University
Concordia University's Chief Operating Officer shares how the campus deployed proactive detection, what changed operationally, and what other institutions should plan for.
Live Demonstration: AI Detection in Real Incidents
See how IntelliSee identifies weapons, unauthorized access, and falls on existing camera feeds within seconds, and how that detection triggers alerts across AtlasIED communication systems.
Q&A with Jesus Villahermosa
Bring your campus-specific scenarios. Direct engagement with one of the nation's leading active threat response experts.
Jesus Villahermosa
Founder, Crisis Reality TrainingJesus Villahermosa spent his law enforcement career with the Pierce County Sheriff's Department in Washington State, including years as the point man on the department's SWAT team. He was the first certified Master Defensive Tactics Instructor in the state of Washington, and in 1986 he founded Crisis Reality Training, Inc. to bring tactical decision-making out of the SWAT world and into schools, hospitals, workplaces, and houses of worship.
His sessions are built on lessons drawn from real incidents, not theory. The approach is direct: give the people on the ground a clear decision framework, rehearse it until it is automatic, and remove the hesitation that costs lives in the opening moments of an attack.

What Proactive Detection Looks Like on Your Existing Cameras
The demonstration uses real platform output, not renderings. IntelliSee analyzes the camera feeds a campus already owns and flags the threat within seconds, before a guard desk has to notice it and before the incident becomes a recording to review.
Three Partners, One Coordinated Response
IntelliSee
AI-powered computer vision that turns existing security cameras into real-time threat detection for weapons, falls, unauthorized access, and more. DHS SAFETY Act Designated as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology.
AtlasIED
